“The Incomparable Concordia”
By Russ Kramer
Oil on Linen, 14″ x 24″
The legendary Concordia Yawl is one of the most successful and long-lived stock wooden cruiser/racers ever built.103 Concordia yawls were built between 1938 and 1966, with the German shipyard, Abeking and Rasmussen, constructing all but four. All 103 exist to this day and are widely regarded to be among the fastest, most comfortable, easiest-to- handle boats of this size in history.
This original painting was exhibited at the 2011 Modern Marine Masters Exhibition at Mystic Seaport and sold into private collection.
